About this work
Chasuble with embroidery. The chasuble has a violin shape with a column on the front and a cross-shaped aurifrieze on the back. Symmetrical vines are embroidered on the column, carrying a vase from which double volutes rise. The back cross has a round central cartouche with the IHS sign, a cross, and three nails. The chasuble belongs to nine ecclesiastical textiles with embroidery, inventory numbers BK-1972-1-A through BK-1972-1-I, and a non-matching purse with inventory number BK-1972-1-J.
