About this work
The object struck from tombac consists of a bowl and a lid with soldered edges of red copper. The inside is lined with blue velvet. The small bowl has a flat bottom and a straight upright wall that tapers towards the rim. The lid, which is raised towards the center, has a chased and punched decoration consisting of a border with an ornament of two stylized pod and leaf motifs, repeated six times. In the center, a coral is included in a rosette formed from three leaves each time.
