Hat Box, Intended for Officer Headgear

Hatbox, cylindrical, made of oilcloth, intended for officers' headgear. A leather fastening strap and a carrying strap run across the lid. The fastening strap fits into a brass lock at the front. Inside the box are two hat stands, separated by a spacer. The hat stands consist of a box covered with blue paper, lined on the inside with light yellow cotton, containing a kidney-shaped support covered with dark green relief paper. This support has a lid lined on the inside with pink velvet. The support itself is lined on the inside with light pink paper. There is also a support inside the support, lined with light yellow cotton. A label in the lid bears the name of the supplier: Eduard Kühne.
