About this work

Dish of earthenware, painted in blue on white tin glaze with a chinoiserie decoration of two figures in a landscape within a diamond, which covers a blue square surface except at the corners, the whole within a double circle. On the rim, a floral and leafy garland on a background of curling motifs, which also appear around the diamond on the flat. On the back, stripes and circles.
