About this work
Insert of natural-colored needle lace: war lace. Slightly oval model. Pattern with the coat of arms of the United States of America. In the center stands an eagle with a shield on its chest. It holds an olive branch in the left claw and six arrows in the right claw. At the top stand thirteen stars. The motifs are built up from festoon stitches and are accentuated by festooned relief contours. The motifs are connected to each other by a fine mesh ground, a mesh lace ground.
