About this work

Bench of beech and elm, inlaid with root nut, walnut, and rosewood. The furniture has two closed sides standing on a slightly recessed plinth with a coromandel wood, semi-circular profiled foot. The sides, hollowed out at the top, have a wavy handle on the outside with a triangular cutout below. The front and back rails of the seat are concave. The veneer on the larger surfaces consists of two mirrored parts. The bench is part of a set of furniture.
