About this work

Bonnet of machine-made black Chantilly lace and black Blonde, black band velvet and tulle, with purple flowers. Wire frame with rudiment of a canopy, to be worn on the front of the head. The lace is gathered and pleated in a tangle on a U-shaped brass frame, covered with black velvet piping. Lace strip in diadem shape behind a large tuft of purple velvet flowers. In the opening for the chignon a short bow of band velvet. Extended at the point with cap and flaps, simultaneously throat bands.
