About this work

Cape of black lace and yellow flowers. The cap with a diadem-shaped bow and a rear opening has chin straps. The Chantilly-imitation lace with a pattern of flowering branches is set in loops on the back of the head and is pleated at the chin straps, which end in a sewn bow. Along the face is a triple border of bright yellow flowers. The address is stamped on the inside of the hat: M.S. van der Voort / 36 REGULIERSGRACHT / AMSTERDAM.
