About this work

Lady's shoe of gold-tanned leather with four straps across the instep. Model: Rounded pointed toe, one vamp and two side pieces. High shaft to just below the ankle. Above the cutout of the vamp on the forefoot, four horizontal straps across the instep. Halfway along the side pieces on both sides, a piece of brown elastic. The front of the heel runs straight down to a rounded corner. The side and back of the heel are waisted and covered with gold-tanned leather. Leather back piece with five nails fastened to the heel and leather sole. Side pieces lined with brown leather. Vamp lined with moss-green ribbed cotton. The heel is reinforced with a piece of moss-green roughened leather. The insole is of brown leather. Decoration: The four straps across the instep are decorated along the edges with a series of gold-colored faceted metal beads.
