About this work

Linen damask tablecloth with the conquest of Bergen (Mons). The field, from bottom to top, features the following images: the inscription MALPLACQVE, fighting cavalry, men with cannons, a fortified city, the inscription MONS, a rider with a half-weapon on either side and above it a crowned coat of arms. The borders have armor trophies, and the horizontal borders additionally have a cartouche containing the inscription LA BATAILLE ET PRYSE DE LA VILLE DE MONS PAR LES ALIES.
