About this work

Parterre carpet, Kemerihisar, Kurdistan or Yuruk. Central field: four linked squares are of light red with purple border. In each square stands a cross medallion in white-bordered light blue, respectively fuchsia, pale purple and light blue and filled with five octagons in light green, dark blue and red. In the corners speckled triangles with long hooks. A year in the upper square: 1260 = 1844. Is anachronistic. Border: fuchsia, with loose flowers in all mentioned colors.
