About this work
Star carpet, Gendje or Karabagh. Central field: a pale ochre ground is divided into rhomboids by a red/blue checkered grid pattern, within which stars stand, diagonally with red, blue and dark green points within which colored blocks stand. Border: triple. Dark blue main border with loose rounded star flowers, concentrically colored in brown/white, blue/red, red/cinnamon and green/red. Selvages of two equal crenellation vines in dark green and red.
