About this work
Oriental rug, medallion rug, in soumak technique. Three star-shaped medallions alternating with octagons on the narrow sides against a partly red and partly blue background. The remaining field filled with rosettes and small ornaments. The yellow borders have octagons with volute rosettes separated by Kufic ornaments.
