About this work

Men's or boys' waistcoat of 18th-century silk, cream with flowers. Waistcoat with short, cut to small points front panels. Low neck with narrow shawl collar. Four buttons of green glass stones set in copper. Two, high-placed straight patch pockets. Back of satin in twill weave. Lining of 18th-century linen.
