Walnut chair

Walnut chair with an upholstery that displays flower and leaf motifs in cross-stitch on a light green background. The angular rear legs, bent backwards, merge into the curved back frame; the curved front legs, with bulbous shapes at the bottom, bear S-shaped profiles and cartouches with leaf motifs at the top. The curved side rails of the seat show profiles that end in small volutes at the corners. The curved front rail bears a rocaille motif amidst S-shaped volutes. Legs on swivel casters. The original upholstery was donated to the museum in 1972, while the chair remained in the possession of the owner; in 1977 the chair was bequeathed, after which the upholstery was reattached in 1978, after restoration.
