About this work
Square tobacco pot on four volute-shaped legs crowned with applied leaf motifs. The tapering pot has chamfered corners, as does the square, tapering lid. The loose lid has a pointed knop. Profiled rims are applied along the top and bottom of the pot and along the bottom of the lid. The tobacco pot is marked: maker's mark = Amsterdam, year mark = V (1755), master's mark = Jan Borduur, and a cursive I (re-check).
