About this work

Coverlet for cradle or diaper basket of knotted and openwork woven net fabric. Model: rectangular, edged all around with machine-made lace with a three-part pattern: from the inside a border with spider web ground, a binding with double spiral line and a scalloped strip with rosettes on square meshes. Netherlands, ca. 1900. Condition: a wear tear. Diaper basket goods.
