About this work

Fifty Liège men defend themselves together with other brave volunteers against the Dutch troops at the observatory in the Warandepark in Brussels on 23 September 1830. Part of a group of prints from various other series related to the plates in the recueil on the events during the Belgian Revolution in Brussels, Antwerp, and other cities in the period 25 August 1830 to 27 March 1831.
