About this work

Left-hand gauntlet of calico and linen. Cut diagonally from the fabric. With a padded tip falling over the back of the hand and a set-in thumb without a top. Decorated with red embroidery on the back. S-shaped embroidery of branches with an applied cord. Decorated with berries, tulips, and rosettes. Entirely finished with a flannel stitch along the seams.
