About this work

Shoe buckle. Rectangular model with rounded corners and curved. Decoration: Between smooth borders runs a leaf and flower scroll in relief on a granulated ground. Under-buckles: Both are identical and made of steel with two bow-shaped eyes at the pin, one of which has two sharp points and the other a cross-shaped support for the loose, hinged tongue (?), which also has two points. The pin is riveted in separately attached side plates of the upper buckle. Condition: The under-iron is completely rusted.
