About this work

Negligé cap of buckram with scallops, trimmed with lace. A large crown is pleated to a tight headband; there a lace strip is lightly pleated attached. Right over the crown three times, from front to back, narrow lace inserts are set. The headband is of machine-embroidered batiste with ribbon slits and flower wreaths. To the headband a gathered strip is attached of machine-made Valenciennes lace.
