About this work
Collar of embroidered batiste with a broad strip of lace of imitation Point d'Irlande (chemical lace). The upper part consists of radiating lobes of cotton batiste, joined with narrow inserts. Around the edge two lobed bindings are sewn with open stitches, as is also the collar. The fastening at the back consists of mother-of-pearl buttons. At the bottom a broad lace strip is gathered and attached. At the front the lobes are embroidered with a small branch of flowers.
