About this work
Bow tie of appliqué lace on machine-made tulle with a picot border. The appliqué consists of bobbin lace pieces with a single needle stitch. The bow tie is bar-shaped with vines featuring stylized flowers and large palm-like leaves at the ends. The ground is scattered with three leaf motifs and a border of loops.
