About this work
Bonnet veil of appliqué lace: bobbin lace with needle lace stitches on machine-made tulle ground. Elongated rectangular model. Scattered pattern of long curling sparse flower and leaf tendrils with different types of small flowers and berries. Along the short sides and the underside a border with rococo panels, which provide a shallow scalloped edge. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges, provided with contour threads and relief contours of thread bundles. The upper side of the veil is finished with a hem.
