Hat veil of appliqué lace with cornflowers and daisies

Hat veil of appliqué lace: bobbin lace applied on machine-made tulle. Rectangular model. The repeating pattern consists of three rows with widely spaced always one goblet flower between some leaf twigs. Between the successive goblet flowers in the lower row hangs a flower branch with one daisy and two smaller flowers and leaves. Along the underside of the veil the pattern is denser and consists of a lying flower branch with two daisies, three cornflowers or carnations and some other and smaller flowers. Most leaves are elongated and more or less oval in shape where some leaves are incised and curl. The flowers and some leaves, which hang down from the branch form scallops along the underside of the veil, which linked with other leaves which are applied along the underside form the scalloped edge. An adapted scalloped edge runs along the short sides of the veil. The motifs are bobbin-relieved in linen stitch with openwork edges and they are partially provided with contour threads.
