About this work

Strip of natural-colored needle lace: Argentan lace. Pattern with mirrored S-shapes with arches in between, on a ground with meshes that are closely sewn with buttonhole stitches. Scatter motif with flower branches with oval leaves. The S-shapes stand apart from the edges and are decorated with bows, ovals, flowers. The arches alternate originating from the bottom and top edge. Slightly scalloped edges at bottom and top with among others a double row of ovals between which a finer mesh ground.
