About this work

Rectangular sheet with beveled corners from a porcelain tête-à-tête. Painted in yellow, reddish-brown, and various shades of green with an ornamental decoration featuring lilies. All parts bear the monogram MvV (= Michiels van Verduynen) and the coat of arms of this family, which also includes the color blue. On the back of the sheet, in black: MASTER LOUIS PAUL MARIE HUBERT BARON MICHIELS VAN VERDUYNEN. GOVERNMENT COMMISSIONER OF THE NETHERLANDS. WORLD EXHIBITION PARIS 1900. OFFERED BY: J. JURRIAAN KOK, DIRECTOR OF THE FACTORY "ROZENBURG".
