About this work

Children's dress made of three handkerchiefs with a pink ground with a purple-white check and a purple ground with a stripe in purple, green and white. Model: Princess line. High waist, to which the skirt is gathered. Short bodice, with round neck and collar. Puffed sleeves. Two seams at the front; one seam at the centre back. Fastening by means of two buttons and loops. Decoration: the handkerchiefs are worked so that the contrasting edge is used along the hem, the collar and as garnish for the sleeves. Worn by Henriëtte Johanna Baruch.
