About this work
Bowl of quartz fritware on a high foot decorated with geometric and floral motifs in luster on an opaque white tin-lead-alkali glaze background. On the inside a medallion divided into eight compartments with alternating wavy lines and leafy vines. The inner rim with a band of scrollwork in compartments. The outside is also divided into compartments filled with scrollwork.
