Sugar Pot with Chasing and Engraving in the Louis XV Style

Four-piece tea service in silver, consisting of a teapot (A) with a curved spout and an ear built up from volutes, containing two ivory rings; a milk jug (B) with a similar smaller ear and a broad lip; a sugar bowl (C) with two upright ears; and a sugar pot (D). The globular bodies rest on a vaulted foot ring with four claw-like feet and are, except for the milk jug, provided with separate bell-shaped lids, crowned by volute-shaped knobs. The service is decorated with partially chased, partially engraved Louis XV motifs.
