About this work
Mirror frame of walnut, carved with leaves and flowers with Mercury on a chariot in the middle top, Venus and Amor on a chariot in the middle bottom, Jupiter and Juno on the left side and Neptune and Amphitrite on the right side; in the top left corner two eagles (fire?), in the top right corner a goat (earth?), in the bottom right corner a dolphin (water?) and in the bottom left corner two birds (air?). The inner frame is new. Netherlands, third quarter 17th century.
