Panel of Gold Leather with the Crucifixion

Panel of tooled leather, silver-coloured, on an oak support, with the crucified Christ with Mary, John and Mary Magdalene. On a scroll on the cross the letters 'INRI' in Hebrew, Greek and Latin, to the left of the lower part of the cross the inscription MORS REDEVIVA PIIS. Amsterdam, ca. 1658, by Willem van den Heuvel or Jacob Hamer. On the reverse: in black: L 250 (presumably 18th-century hand) and in red: CAT No 28.
