About this work
The back and seat of this armchair consist of open-work in a richly carved pattern. The piece of furniture is a virtuoso masterpiece, a splendid demonstration of its maker's abilities. The chair's utilitarian function is secondary to the elaborate execution; comfort is not a priority here.
