About this work

Teakwood chamber pot resting on four broad feet with rounded sides. The rectangular chamber pot has four walls, the rounded corners of which consist of a single strip of wood. The lid, attached with two hinges, is covered with fabric woven with black, red, and brown threads, secured with nails with flower-shaped heads. The interior is divided into two compartments, the right one being the largest. The left compartment is closed at mid-height with a panel from which two circles have been cut. The right compartment is closed at the top with a panel from which a circle has been cut, within which a lid with a handle fits.
