Candlestick in the form of a cask

Sugar bowl: the oval bowl rests on four curved legs that are ribbed at the base. The body is built up from a convex belly and a vaulted, widening upper part. In the center of the short and long sides of the attached upper rim is an ornament built up from C- and S-scrolls and a rocaille. Under each of these ornaments, in the upper part of the body, is a motif consisting of scrolls, small circles, and half-moons, sawn. Between these are engraved hanging floral garlands. On the front and back of the belly is a flower with leaf scrolls on either side, and on the two short sides of the belly a rocaille is engraved. Oval medallion, engraved scenes of standing female figures with attributes. Note: it appears as if the maker designed the sugar bowl as a miniature version of the cooling vessel.
