About this work

Fragment, possibly part of a shoulder mantle, of brocaded Gros de Tours with a liseré effect, consisting of four sewn-together fragments. Design: vertical zigzagging parallel side borders in pink and green wrapped by floral vines in two shades of green and ecru, with bouquets in two shades of green, two shades of blue, two shades of salmon, pink, and white in the spaces on a pink ground with a liseré effect. Pinned paper note with the letter A.
