Kazuifel van geel zijdesatijn met borduurwerk

Chasuble with silk embroidery on yellow silk satin. The decoration consists of flowers, vines, leaves, hares, and lambrequin motifs. The chasuble is part of a set (BK-2008-176-A to E). Vestments from the St. Francis Xavier church in 't Zand, Amersfoort, reportedly donated by Baroness Van Stoutenburg from Stoutenburg Castle near Amersfoort to the church in the form of a wedding dress, later converted into vestments. Based on the fabric direction and the nature and direction of the ornament, it appears more likely to have originally been a tablecloth or bedspread.
