About this work
Children's hat with a low, broad crown and scalloped brim of white cotton with English embroidery, decorated with satin ribbon. Model: crown of plain cotton, brim of cotton with woven decoration. Lined with gathered cotton batiste reinforced with a wire edge and a silk entrance. Decoration: the plain fabric of the crown is gathered into several double bands. The brim is adorned with purls, leaves, and flowers, partially openwork. The tied satin ribbon around the crown is also purl-ed.
