Brooch of enameled metal in the shape of a daisy with a hook clasp. Brooch of enameled metal in the shape of a daisy with a hook clasp. These small brooches were sold to support the Princess Margriet Fund, established during the Second World War. Princess Margriet, the third daughter of Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard, was born in Ottawa (Canada) in 1943 and became the patroness of the Dutch Merchant Navy. Margriet pins come in various variants and were worn by staff of the shipping companies and their spouses.
