Folding fan with a paper leaf painted in gouache featuring a central scene referring to the Judgment of Paris, surrounded by a decorative border with floral garlands, butterflies, garden vases, and medallions with putti on a mount of mother-of-pearl, pierced and carved in relief, decorated with 'metal en quatre couleurs'. Leaf: in a rural setting with bushes and trees on the left, three women in classical dress; in the center, a circle of dancing putti, above which on a cloud a classically dressed woman with two turtledoves and a putto holding an apple(?). On the right, a seated half-naked man with 'Roman' sandals and a shepherd's staff beside him on the ground. In the foreground on the right, a putto playing with a dog. On either side of this, an oval containing a grisaille of two putti, just like above in the center. On the back of the leaf, in the center, a pastoral love scene. Mount: three medallions surrounded by stacked ornaments, small portraits, musical instruments, and birds.
