About this work
Oboe made of dark-brown stained palmwood, consisting of four parts. The oboe has twelve silver keys with round plates, four ivory rings, a silver thumb rest, and an extra tuning joint for transposition. The third hole is double. The F# resonator key is attached to a rod mechanism; this was added or repaired later. Marked on all three parts: HECKEL (in an arc) / BIEBRICH (in an arc).
