About this work
Oboe made of palmwood with twelve silver keys and a silver thumb rest. The third hole is double. The oboe has four silver rings (one on the upper part, one on the middle part, and two on the lower part). Marked on all three parts: [star] / GEISLER / AMSTERDAM / [star]. The oboe is housed in a wooden case covered with leather and lined with velvet. Inside the case is an extra tuning joint for transposition and a small cardboard box containing one reed.
