About this work

Single English flageolet in bleached boxwood with two brass keys and ivory rings and mouthpiece. The instrument has been preserved intact and is still playable. Lowest tone is a D', assuming a tuning of a-415 Hz. Stamps and markings: middle part: BAINBRIDGE / TEACHER & INVENTOR / 35 HOLBORN HILL /LONDON / LATE OF /2 LITTLE QUEENS / PATENT; lower part with finger holes: numbers and note indications for each hole and key.
