About this work
The baptismal cover is cream-colored and made of silk. The silk is of excellent quality and incredibly shiny. It is quilted with very fine wool. The baptismal cover has a border of flowers with a floral arrangement in the center. The shape tapers. It is a very fine and fantastic example of early quilting. Both the hook and eye closure were added later.
