About this work

Cloth of squares and rectangles alternating of linen and lace embroidery: filet lace. In the middle of the cloth stand two square pieces of filet lace with a pattern of a vase with a symmetrical bouquet of grape clusters and vine tendrils and with a border of flowers and leaves. The other elongated or square pieces of lace have a pattern with different flower and leaf motifs. The motifs are embroidered in buttonhole stitch technique on a knotted network with square meshes.
