About this work

Bust in the form of an old bearded faun with an expressive facial expression. The faun wears short horns on the forehead, has a long beard and large pointed ears. In the hair he wears an ivy wreath. The back is flat sawn, with the monogram J.V.L. in ornate letters in the center.
