About this work
Cup and saucer of porcelain with straight, ribbed wall and scalloped edge, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, black, and gold. On the bottom of the saucer three Chinese acrobats in an enclosed garden, one on a slack rope, the second juggling with knives, and the last with a spinning disc on a stick; next to them a lying dog, in the foreground a tightly tied bag; the wall with napkin work alternating with cartouches with landscapes or flower branches. The cup with the same decoration. Famille rose / Mandarin.
