About this work

Porcelain cup with straight, ribbed wall and shaped rim, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, black and gold. Three Chinese acrobats in an enclosed garden depicted, one on a slack rope, the second juggling knives and the last with a spinning disc on a stick; next to them a lying dog, in the foreground a tied-up sack; the wall with damask work alternating with cartouches with landscapes or flower branches. Famille rose/Mandarin.
