About this work
Cast-iron stove plate, divided into two zones. The upper zone depicts three winged women on a console, possibly the three theological virtues, with Charity in the center accompanied by two children. The lower zone shows a mermaid (?) with two tails on the left; the symmetrical motif on the right is unclear.
