About this work

Cast-iron stove plate with a depiction of Esther bowing before King Ahasuerus, who rises slightly from his throne and extends his scepter to her. Behind Esther stand several maids and soldiers. Directly next to the throne stands Mordechai. Through an opening to the left rear Haman is visible, hanged on the gallows.
